This week’s Passion Conference at the Atlanta’s Georgia Dome was not short of musical guests and speakers.
The likes of Chris Tomlin, Matt Redmann, Hillsong UNITED, David Crowder and Christy Nockels were already listed as guests invited to lead in worship and also to teach and inspire delegates in the subject. (Not to mentioned a host of incredible speakers from Christine Caine to Francis Chan).
On the last day of the conference, however, delegates were in for a shocker.
As the light dimmed down, a familiar song intro started to play – to which many thought was just playing digitally through the sound system.
To their major surprise, the lights dimmed up again only to reveal Carrie Underwood singing her own song “Something In the Water.”
The American Idol winner was joined by “Blessed Be Your Name” artiste, David Crowder, on the guitar.
They later performed David Crowder’s song “Lift Your Head Weary Sinner” together too.
“What an incredible night @passion268 ! Thanks for letting me be a small part of it! & thanks @crowdermusic for letting me crash your set! ❤️,” Carrie posted on Twitter that night.
