On the Dr. Oz Show last week, the celebrity doctor invited Hillsong New York pastor Carl Lentz on his show as his guest, as part of his“Faithful Friday” series.
The medical daytime talk show host – known for some of controversial medical advice told his audience that Ps. Carl would “not talk so much about the rules, but the energy behind religion.”
That was the cue for Ps. Carl Lentz to bring the good news of the gospel to the doctor’s audience.
He started with a illustration of being lost in New York City and went on to explain how God can be the guide in our lives.
“…when Jesus said, ‘I’m the way, the truth and life,’ He wasn’t talking about a religion. He wasn’t talking about a social construct. He was talking about the King of heaven and earth giving you clues on where you need to go,” Ps. Carl said.
“If you feel lost and you feel discouraged, doctors are great. A new diet will change your day. But praying to the King of heaven and earth will change you soul.”
