P’ng Tean Hau

Deacon

P’ng Tean Hau was born in Kuala Lumpur in a Taoist family. At the age of 7, his family moved to Klang. He later studied in SM Methodist ACS Klang and completed his Bachelor and Master’s degrees at Western Illinois University, USA.

He is married to Woo Kean Wah and is blessed with 2 beautiful kids – Zhan Rong and Xiu Xuan. Their children first attended Sunday School at Klang Chinese Methodist Church (KCMC).

Both Tean Hau and his wife felt a longing for a relationship with God and wanted their children to have a good role model. They eventually came to know Christ and through the encouragement of family members, started to worship at Klang Chinese Methodist Church (KCMC) and was later baptised there.

The Lord prompted them to BethanyLife (Bethany Chapel then) at the beginning of 2014.

From the first day they entered into the church, they felt the sense of belonging to the church. This was also a pivotal year when he felt the presence and warmth of the Lord, and the calling to follow and serve Him.

Speaking relatively, Tean Hau considers himself “the new kid on the block”.

He currently serves as a council member, having been appointed as the church treasurer and is also the manager of the weekly LiFEst.
